Logan Basketball Update 02/08/2020:
Thank you for your patience and support as we suspended basketball and venue access over the weekend due to the increased COVID activity in Logan. We made the decision to suspend all basketball and venue access on Thursday 30/07/2020 after being informed of members having contact with a person who had returned a positive COVID test. Specifically the members that were in contact with the positive case are members of our U12 Thunder Boys Representative team and Boys U12 Jazz Bulls. The members are now in isolation. Over the weekend other Logan Basketball members were tested and have returned negative results.
Logan Basketball continues to take all the appropriate cautions regarding health and hygiene. Since the return to play from COVID shutdown, all basketball activity and venue access has continued diligently under the COVID safe plan for indoor sports.
The stadium continues to be cleaned on a regular basis by a professional external cleaning provider. The Bendigo Bank Cornubia Park Sports Centre was closed this weekend and further cleaning was undertaken.
Queensland Health has informed Logan Basketball directly it is appropriate to continue Basketball activity under the COVID Safe Plan. Basketball activity will return this week and we ask all members to continue to follow the COVID Safe plan and venue protocol diligently.
Logan Basketball urges all members to get tested if there are concerns or if members feel unwell. Please stay home if you are feeling unwell or have been in contact with an identified COVID trace link.
We apologise for any inconvenience but made the decision to take a proactive step to ensure the health of the Thunder Family and greater Logan Community remains our priority.
